Ahlulbait University (peace be upon them) is the first university established after 2003. It began with three faculties through the efforts of its founder, Dr. Sayyid Mohsen al-Qazwini.
One feels proud to serve the people of their country in this holy city, and to dedicate efforts toward spreading knowledge, virtuous morals, and values.
Through the efforts of the founder, the presidency, the academic staff, and the employees, the university has developed from three faculties into nine faculties in various disciplines, with modern buildings and laboratories equipped with the finest modern equipment, and with academic staff of high scholarly rank who aspire for the university to reach the highest academic standards and achieve the best results among the universities of beloved Iraq.
Aiming for excellence in providing academic services, patents, and achieving progress in international and national accreditation, the university, through its president and professors, has participated in numerous local and international conferences in various countries around the world: Britain, Sweden, the Netherlands, Lebanon, Iran, Canada, America, and others.
The university has obtained membership in several international associations, including the Association of Arab Universities, and has signed agreements with many universities, including Shahid Beheshti University, Imam Reza University (peace be upon him), the Holy University of Qom, Imam al-Baqir University (peace be upon him), and the Institute for Strategic Research at the University of Tehran.
The university conducts cultural, scientific, and sports activities, and hosts exhibitions, workshops, seminars, and celebrations for various occasions. It houses peer-reviewed scientific journals and other cultural magazines, as well as multiple libraries in addition to the central library. The university places great importance on sports activities, featuring two stadiums: one indoor with seating for attendees, and an outdoor one.
Those working at the university look forward to further progress and prosperity in all fields.
Thousands of students have graduated from the university; many have completed their higher education, some have continued their studies to become university professors, and others hold positions in the government and various fields.
